PHASE Nepal 38th Biannual meeting

On April 16, 2026, PHASE Nepal held its 38th biannual meeting, bringing together all staff currently working across 14 sites. This year also marked PHASE Nepal’s 20th anniversary since its establishment in 2006. Since its induction, PHASE Nepal has been working in remote areas of Nepal, supporting health, education and livelihood. The organization operations are guided by a research-driven, evidence-based approach.

The biannual meeting serves as a valuable platform where field staff from all sites come together to share their work, experiences, and challenges. It provides an opportunity to reflect on ongoing activities, discuss issues encountered in the field, and exchange solutions adapted in different contexts.

The event was chaired by Krishna Prasad Subedi, General Member of PHASE Nepal, who praised the work that the PHASE Nepal team has been doing in remote communities of Nepal. He highlighted the lasting impact of PHASE Nepal’s work, noting that even in areas where projects have been completed, communities continue to remember and appreciate the organization’s contributions. Program Manager Rudra Neupane welcomed the participants, emphasizing that for two decades, PHASE Nepal has been relentlessly working in hard-to-reach areas to support health, education, and livelihoods.

The meeting also included an informative session by Human Resource Officer Samikshya Pokharel on the code of conduct followed by PHASE Nepal.

During the one-day event, team members from each site presented the activities carried out over the past six months. They reflected on which interventions were most effective and which were less successful, providing insights on how each site has different need and priority. The presentations also highlighted activities identified by both community members and staff as essential for their respective regions, supporting more targeted planning. In addition, each site shared critical cases they had encountered and the efforts made to address them.

At the end of the event, Program Manager Rudra Neupane responded to staff queries and acknowledged the recommendations put forward by participants.

As PHASE Nepal marks 20 years of working in remote Nepal, this biannual meeting further reinforced its commitment to delivering essential support in health, education, and livelihoods.
