Dr. Jiban Karki
Executive DirectorDr. Jiban Karki is a public health and development expert with over 25 years of experience in project management and research. He holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Sheffield and a Master’s degree in Rural Development from the University of East Anglia. With academic and practical experience across the Global South, he currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, leading the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) aspects of a multi-country research project.
Rudra Bahadur Neupane
Program ManagerRudra Bahadur Neupane is a senior development professional with 28+ years of experience in disaster risk management and rural development. He holds master’s degrees in Disaster Risk Management and Rural Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked with organizations such as PHASE Nepal, UNDP, and JICA.
Urmila Adhikari
Acting Program ManagerUrmila Adhikari is a public health and nutrition specialist with over 10 years of experience in health and community development. She holds a Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She has been instrumental in managing and implementing health programs at PHASE Nepal.
Dr. Bhagawan Das Shrestha
Fundraising ManagerDr. Bhagawan Das Shrestha is a medical and public health expert with over 21 years of experience in international NGOs and UN organizations, including UNICEF, WHO, Plan International, and Save the Children. He holds a PhD in Public Health, a Master’s in Public Health, a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, and a certificate in Medical Science (General Medicine).
Sunil Sapkota
Finance ManagerSunil Sapkota is a finance and administration professional with 16+ years of experience in the NGO and private sectors. He holds a Master’s in Business Studies (MBS) and a Bachelor’s in Business Studies (BBS). He has worked with PHASE Nepal, KI Nepal, and CCODER.
Ganesh Kumar Shrestha
Project ManagerGanesh Shrestha is a public health and education professional with over 20 years of experience in project management and implementation. He holds a Master of Public Health (Gold Medalist) and a Bachelor’s in Education. He has worked with PHASE Nepal, Real Medicine Foundation, and Integrated Development Foundation.
Bikash Koirala
Project ManagerBikash has been working in PHASE Nepal for the last 11 years as a project lead, managing both Implementation and Research projects of multiple themes such as maternal and child health, education, nutrition, disaster risk reduction and health system strengthening. Working closely with the frontline team, he is well acquainted with the underlying issues of diverse localities in hard-to-reach areas of Nepal. He is also a doctoral fellow at the University of Huddersfield, UK pursuing a PhD in Public health.

Research LeadDr. Situ KC is an epidemiologist and public health researcher with over 5 years of experience. She holds a PhD in Health Sciences/Epidemiology and an MSc in Public Health from the University of Tampere, Finland. She has worked as a consultant with Family Health International and a lecturer at Kantipur Academy of Health Science.

Research AssociateBarsha Rijal is a global health and research professional with over 9 years of experience in project implementation and research. She holds an MSc in Global Health, a Postgraduate Diploma in Research, and a Bachelor’s in Public Health.
Sumati Shakya
Education OfficerSumati Shakya is a specialist in education and teacher training with over 10 years of experience in GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion) and safeguarding. She is currently pursuing an MPhil in Development Studies at Kathmandu University and holds a Master’s in English from Tribhuvan University.
