After a massive earthquake hit Nepal in 2015, thousands of people lost their lives, and many more were injured or lost their livelihoods. PHASE Nepal and our partner organization (HDFA) went out to the communities in Sindhupalchok, one of the worst-affected districts, giving immediate aid, essential health care, and livelihood support.
We began assisting important plants such as Kiwi, Lemon, vegetable farms, and goat farms in 2019 in response to community demand, in order to meet the long-term opportunities for livelihood support. One of them is Dhani Tamang. Let’s hear about his first visit to a kiwi farm.
We have continued to provide essential health care, seeds, and technical assistance to earthquake-affected areas in order to support them establish a resilient community.
