PHASE Nepal’s 37th Biannual Staff Learning & Sharing Meeting

PHASE Nepal held 37th Bi-annual meeting on October 12th 2025, bringing together staff from all working sites to review activities and share experiences from the field. The event brought together PHASE Nepal’s Board Members, PHASE Nepal’s health advisor Dr. Gerda Pohl, as well as all PHASE Nepal team from all nine districts.

The event Chaired by Dr. Rashila Pradhan, Chairperson, PHASE Nepal marked one more successful year for the organization. Health advisor Dr. Gerda pohl highlighted how PHASE Nepal has been working in the remote and geographically challenging areas of Nepal for nearly two decades. She remarked that despite these difficulties PHASE Nepal has been relentlessly working in these hard to reach areas. Finally, Dr. Pohl also stated that the current vision of PHASE Nepal focuses on strengthening its efforts through research driven interventions.

Acting program Manager Urmila Adhikari shared the achievements PHASE Nepal has made throughout the year and also highlighted with constant efforts from the PHASE Nepal, health literacy and food availability has increased in the project sites.

The event also included an informative session led by Dr. Gerda Pohl and Sangita Baruwal about the various safeguarding issues that might be faced while working in field and the necessary way to address these issues.

During the event, PHASE Nepal team members from each working site shared their accomplishments, issues, and challenges and planned activities for future. Each working site also presented critical cases that encountered and the efforts they made to solve them.

The day concluded with an open discussion, during which Program Manager Mr. Rudra Neupane addressed staff queries and noted valuable recommendations for organizational improvement and future programming.
