Health Programme
PHASE Nepal implements preventive, promotive, and curative health initiatives, offering skilled personnel, essential medicines, and equipment, while also assisting in the establishment of birthing centers. Additionally, we support the continuous operation of local health posts by providing training and orientation for the Health Facilities Operation and Management Committee (HFPMC) members, government health workers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), and community members. This year, PHASE Nepal has continued delivering primary healthcare services to 11 underserved communities in Mugu, Humla, Bajura, Gorkha, and Sindhupalchok districts.
Education Programme
The education program is a key component of PHASE Nepal’s integrated community development strategy, reflecting our commitment to fostering lifelong learning and growth. Our primary objective is to improve the quality and accessibility of education for everyone, with a particular emphasis on adolescent girls, illiterate women, and adults in our project areas. We accomplish this by enhancing physical infrastructure, developing the skills of teachers, empowering school management committees, and extending educational opportunities to the most marginalized individuals, particularly girls and women. By investing in education, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and empower communities to shape their futures. We believe that education is a powerful tool for social change, and we are committed to creating inclusive environments where every learner can thrive. Given our resources, we must prioritize our efforts, placing the highest importance on the most remote and underserved communities within our project areas, ensuring that no one is left behind in their pursuit of knowledge.
Livelihood Programme
PHASE Nepal’s Livelihood Project aims to improve the quality of life for marginalized and remote communities by enhancing their economic opportunities and self-reliance. Nepal’s rural areas, particularly in mountainous and isolated regions, face severe challenges in accessing basic services, including education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. These challenges are exacerbated by poor infrastructure, limited agricultural productivity, and lack of alternative income sources, leading to high rates of poverty, food insecurity, and out-migration.
Research Programme
We have a dedicated research wing developing research proposals, implementing research projects and generating output and outcomes aligning our organizational aims. As we are committed to working from an evidence-based approach, we conduct research to ensure that our interventions are the most effective possible. In addition, we are also sharing outcomes of our research in the form of journal articles, policy briefs, scientific reports and findings dissemination events to improve the effectiveness of all stakeholders working towards the same objectives.
