The earthquake of April 2015 damaged many infrastructures such as schools, health posts, and other infrastructures used by the community. PHASE Nepal has been engaged in relief, recovery, rebuilding efforts in most affected communities in several districts. In recent years we focused on activities like construction of infrastructures for government schools, community buildings, rehabilitation of foot trails, community clinics, and support in the construction of private houses to the vulnerable families in hard-hit areas, immediate relief to families affected by small scale disaster in the PHASE project areas. Support for livelihoods rehabilitation focuses primarily on agriculture,
the dominant occupation in rural areas, including ongoing training for improved farming techniques, animal husbandry, beekeeping, linkage to market and supply chain strengthening. Additionally, PHASE provides emergency relief support to the communities affected by other natural disasters like fire, floods, and landslides.
