In Sindhupalchok PHASE provided 106 different sessions of Health and Hygiene awareness workshops in all 9 wards of each of the 6 project VDCs (Village Development Committees) as a part of a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project. During these events 2,896 locals directly received important health messages from PHASE Facilitators. In similar events in 45 schools of the same VDCs, 5,561 children also received messages of important hygiene behaviours.
PHASE is running the WASH project in Hagam, Fulpinkot, Selang, Pangtang, Baramchi and Jalbire with funding from Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, Germany. Out of 82 identified water supply projects, 43 projects have already been completed and handed over to the community.
